Bangladesh boys were felicitated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Dhaka Thursday evening for their title winning success at the Saff U-15 Championship in Nepal Saturday.
Bangladesh beat Pakistan on penalties in the final.
Each member of the squad received Tk4 lakhs while the coaching staff got Tk2 lakhs each.

Bangladesh captain Mehedi Hasan expressed delight, saying, “We felt really good. We had the target of becoming champion. Our mentors were saying if we win the title, the PM would felicitate us. It feels good to be accorded a reception. The PM encouraged us. She told us to play better, and be in continuous training.”
Bangladesh coach Mostafa Anwar Parvez Babu was also a happy man.
He said, “It was a really good programme. The PM told us we have to go further in our journey. She believes in us and was really happy with the boys’ performance.”
