Booters put finishing touch ahead of Bangabandhu Gold Cup

The Bangladesh football team put the finishing touch to their preparation, ahead of their opening game in the fifth edition of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup against Laos Monday at Sylhet District Stadium.

Laos became the first visiting team to arrive in Bangladesh Friday. Bangladesh’s other group phase opponent Philippines set foot in the country Saturday afternoon while Tajikistan also arrived a few hours later.

Palestine arrived in Bangladesh Saturday night while reigning champion Nepal will only set foot a day before the tournament’s opening match.

The group stage games will take place in Sylhet while the semi-finals and final will be hosted by Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka. A total of six countries, including host Bangladesh, will take part in the tournament.
