A confident Bangladesh Olympic football team are determined to keep up the consistency in their performance during the final group stage match against Qatar after a creditable display against Thailand Thursday. The team however, spent a hectic day Friday shifting hotels from one city to another and then underwent a practice session at the new place in the afternoon.

The men in red and green stayed in Sentul City of Bogor, West Java since their arrival in Indonesia Saturday. Bangladesh played their first two matches at Pakansari Stadium in the city.

Their crucial tie against Qatar Sunday will be held at Patriot Chandrabhaga Stadium in Bekasiand and that’s where the team moved to Friday.

Jamie Day’s side now have a realistic chance to move to the second round as the second-best finisher with Qatar losing 6-0 to group champion Uzbekistan.

“It is not important what the other results are. We are concentrating on our own game. It’s more important how we perform on the pitch and carry on our consistency,” said team manager Satyajit Das Rupu while going for the afternoon training session.

Rupu added, “Only Uzbekistan are through. The group is now open for all and we have a chance to qualify. The Qatar game is very important for us and Qatar and Thailand are similar in terms of team strength and ability. The boys are determined and fully focused on qualification.”
