Chelsea have made Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford their top target to potentially replace Thibaut Courtois, according to Sky Sports.
The Blues are bracing themselves for Courtois' departure as Real Madrid close in on the Belgium international.
And though any deal to bring in Pickford from Goodison Park would prove difficult, they remain hopeful he can be tempted to west London following his impressive World Cup campaign with England.

The Blues will require a world-record fee to part with the Belgian star.
Chelsea will demand £200 million ($262m) to sell Eden Hazard, reports the Daily Mail.
The Blues hope their price tag acts as a deterrent for Real Madrid, who are keen on landing Hazard to help replace Cristiano Ronaldo.
The £200m fee would eclipse the current world record of £198m ($259m), paid by PSG to land Neymar last summer.

Muto set for Newcastle
Newcastle have confirmed that a deal has been agreed to sign Mainz striker Yoshinori Muto, subject to a work permit.
The Japan international spent Friday on Tyneside undergoing a medical and agreeing personal terms ahead of his £9.5 million ($12.5m) move.
He is set to become the Magpies' fifth signing of the summer following the likes of Fabian Schar, Ki-Sung Yeung and Kenedy to St James' Park.

Barcelona have turned their attention toward signing Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Blaugrana have been looking for central midfield reinforcements, but have grown impatient in their pursuit of PSG"s Adrien Rabiot.
N’Zonzi desires a move to the Camp Nou and has a release clause of €40 million (£36m/$47m).

Lazar Markovic is set to leave Liverpool, with Olympiacos and Standard Liege in talks with the Reds over a transfer, reports Sky Sports News.
The 24-year-old arrived at Liverpool in 2014 but has not featured for the club since 2015, taking in several loans over the previous three seasons.
Markovic has spent time with Fenerbahce, Sporting Lisbon, Hull and Anderlecht since the 2015-16 season began.
