Day two of the second Faraaz Gold Cup inter-university football tournament gave wins to Brac and City University.
In the first game of the day, Brac and Iubat had their match end at 1-1 in allotted time at Kamalapur Stadium. Brac took the lead in the 41st minute through a goal from Zawat. But that lead didn’t last long as in the 58th minute, Iubat equalised. In the tie-breakers, Brac emerged victorious 4-3.
In the second game, City University defeated Gono University 1-0. In the 29th minute, the solitary goal in the game came from man-of-the-match Almas.
There will be two games on Friday with Daffodil facing Bubt at Kamalapur Stadium at 10 am why the second match will be held between Presidency University and Santa Mariam University at 3 pm in the same venue.
