Cavani emerges as Real Madrid target

Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani has emerged as a target for Real Madrid, according to AS.

The Champions League holders are looking to find a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo following his departure for Juventus.

And Cavani is seen as a cheaper alternative to PSG team-mates Neymar and Kylian Mbappe as Madrid look to make a splash in the transfer market.

Newcastle close in on Muto

Newcastle are closing in on a move for Mainz forward Yoshinori Muto, according to Kyodo News.

The Japan international has held talks with the Magpies and is set to fly to England to finalise his move to the Premier League.

Morata agrees to Milan move

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has told AC Milan that he would be keen to join them this summer, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Spain international has spoken to the Rossoneri's new general manager, Leonardo, about a move to San Siro, though Chelsea are likely to want in excess of €65 million (£57.8m/$76m).

That is likely to provide a stumbling block for Milan, who are also eyeing Gonzalo Higuain and Radamel Falcao as alternatives.

Chelsea eye Milinkovic-Savic move

Chelsea are keeping an eye on Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and are prepared to bid on the midfielder should any offers be made for the player, reports the Independent

Milinkovic-Savic drew the attention of the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid this summer after a fine season and World Cup, but his high price tag put off suitors, including Chelsea.

However, should an offer come in, the Blues will enter the fray as it is believed by those close to the midfielder than he prefers a move to Stamford Bridge.

Allegri confirms Favilli loan

Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that Andrea Favilli will be sent out on loan to Genoa this season. 

The Italian striker took advantage of the absences of every member of Juventus strike force - including newly-acquired superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, World Cup star Mario Mandzukic and Argentina duo Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain - by scoring a pair of first-half goals to help Juve earn a 2-0 victory over Bayern at Lincoln Financial Field on Wednesday, with his manager confirming after the match the the young forward would be loaned out. 

Gnagnon joins Sevilla from Rennes

Sevilla have completed the signing of France Under-21 international defender Joris Gnagnon from Rennes.

Gnagnon has signed a five-year contract with the La Liga side for a fee reportedly worth €15 million.

Immobile happy at Lazio

Ciro Immobile has no intention of leaving Lazio despite growing interest in Serie A's Capocannoniere from the Premier League.

"I signed a new contract in November, it's a source of pride for me to re-do the contract after 10 months," he said. 

Rugani's agent confirms Chelsea interest

Daniele Rugani's agent Davide Torchia confirmed Chelsea are interested in signing the Juventus centre-back .

Rugani has been heavily linked with Chelsea after former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri replaced Antonio Conte at the Premier League giants.

Ayew agrees Fenerbahce loan

Andre Ayew has joined Fenerbahce on a season-long loan from Swansea City, with the Super Lig side holding the option to make the deal permanent.

Ayew re-joined Swansea in January after two seasons at West Ham but was unable to stop their relegation to the Championship – the 28-year-old failing to score on his Liberty Stadium return.

Martial nears Man Utd exit after tour departure

The forward could be on his way out after not finishing his pre-season duties.

Anthony Martial is unlikely to return the United States to rejoin his Manchester United team-mates after leaving to attend the birth of his child, reports the Telegraph.

Martial left Los Angeles for Paris to attend the birth, but the move may or may not have been sanctioned by manager Jose Mourinho, who was not happy over the late notice.

Leaving the club, even if his reason appears justified, may have been taken as a signal of intent that he intends to force his way out of the club.

Fulham, Newcastle remain apart for Mitrovic

Talks continue between Premier League sides Fulham and Newcastle over forward Aleksandar Mitrovic, with the sides  £2 million apart, reports Sky Sports.

Premier League newcomers Fulham want to bring Mitrovic back to the club and are hoping to land the Serbia international for £16m ($21m), but Newcastle are demanding £18m.

Mourinho wants £60m Maguire

The Red Devils manager demands at least one high-profile addition this summer

Jose Mourinho has demanded Manchester United sign either Harry Maguire or Toby Alderweireld, even if it requires a record-fee to do so, according to the Sun.

United Chairman Ed Woodward is working on deals for the pair, but Leicester will demand £60 million ($79m) for Maguire, which would be a record for an English defender, as he still has four years remaining on his contract.

Alderweireld, meanwhile, has been embroiled in a pay dispute with Tottenham and would only cost the Red Devils £50m.

Rojo's Man Utd future in doubt

Defender Marcos Rojo's future with Manchester United is in doubt as the team looks to bring in futher reinforcements in defence, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The Red Devils already have six central defenders, with the club reportedly looking at adding Leicester City's Harry Maguire and Tottenham's Toby Alderweireld, with Rojo's camp belived to be concerned over his place should there be an addition.

The defender is entering the last year of his contract at Old Trafford but is uncertain whether he will link up with the team in the United States as he recovers from something manager Jose Mourinho has called a "physical problem."

United have made contact in the hope of signing Eintracht Frankfurt's 24-year-old Croatia winger Ante Rebic. (Mail)

Everton director of football Marcel Brands has travelled to Barcelona to continue negotiations for Colombia centre-back Yerry Mina, 23, and France full-back Lucas Digne, 25. (Mail)

Atletico sign Castro, loan him to Wolve

Spanish defender Jonny Castro Otto has signed for Atletico Madrid from Celta Vigo and been immediately loaned out to promoted Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers, the La Liga runners up said on Wednesday, reports Reuters.

"Atletico Madrid and Celta Vigo have reached an agreement over the transfer of Jonny Castro to our club. The defender, 24, has signed for our club until 2024 although he has been loaned to Wolverhampton in the Premier League," said a statement from Atletico.

Brighton complete Jahanbakhsh signing for a club record fee

Brighton and Hove Albion have signed winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar for a club record fee on Wednesday, reports Reuters.

The 24-year-old Iran international signed a five-year contract and becomes the eighth new arrival of the close season at the Amex Stadium.

Financial terms were not disclosed but British media reported Brighton agreed on a deal worth 17 million pounds ($22.36 million) for Jahanbakhsh, eclipsing the 14 million pounds paid for forward Jurgen Locadia to PSV Eindhoven in January.

Vancouver star Davies joins Bayern in record deal

Vancouver Whitecaps starlet Alphonso Davies has joined Bayern Munich in a record-breaking $13 million deal, the highest transfer fee ever paid for a Major League Soccer player, it was confirmed on Wednesday, reports AFP.

Davies, who turns 18 in November, has signed a contract which runs from January 2019 until June 2023, the two clubs confirmed.

The Whitecaps said the deal could be worth up to $22 million if certain targets are met. US media reports said Bayern had paid a $13 million transfer fee for the winger.
