Sirat Jahan Shopna netted the consolation goal in injury time. Shopna also earned Bangladesh a penalty in the 73rd minute but striker Sabina Khatun's shot was saved by the Malaysian goalkeeper.
Malaysia were leading 1-0 at that time with the opening goal coming in the 44th minute. The Malaysian goalie made another big save in the 89th minute to deny Sabina.
Malaysia doubled the lead in the 90th minute before Shopna pulled one back three minutes into injury time.
