Head coach Andrew Ord was full of praise for his new coaching assistant, saying, “Jason has already made impact in the team in one week.” Ord added that Jason’s experience will have impact on the younger players in the team. In terms of both playing and coaching background, Jason is perhaps the best goalkeeping coach Bangladesh has ever managed to rope in. The former Wales international goalkeeper spent much of his playing career at Kent-based League One club Gillingham. He also played for Blackburn Rovers in the English Premier League and Aberdeen in the Scottish Premier League before hanging his gloves in the 2014-15 season. Following retirement, Jason joined Arsenal Ladies as their goalkeeping coach while he spent three years at Arsenal as the academy head of goalkeeping. He also coached the Gunners’ U-23 and U-18 sides. Jason’s first experience in Asia started as a goalkeeper coach of Vietnam. Jason is currently doing his Uefa A License.
