The Bangladesh men might be languishing at 192nd place in the Fifa ranking, and likely to hover close towards the 200th place with no international action in the next few months, but the women footballers have taken themselves to a best ever position of 100th.
According to the latest Fifa ranking, the women in red and green jumped six places to 100th, which is their best ever place.
Bangladesh women are ahead of the likes of Paraguay, Uruguay, Ecuador and the Ivory Coast.
Bangladesh women's team were 103rd in March this year and moved down to 106th in September before joining the top 100 recently.
The USA are leading the women's ranking with Germany and England second and third respectively.
