BFF vice president Kazi Nabil: Bangladesh likely to play friendlies next March

It has been more than a year since Bangladesh football team last contested an international match, against Bhutan. However, the dry spell of fixtures is all set to end next year as BFF vice president Kazi Nabil Ahmed, who also happens to be the national team committee chairman, informed that if everything falls into place, Bangladesh are likely to play two international friendlies in March.

Following the national team committee meeting Saturday, Kazi Nabil informed the media, "We are planning to play two matches from March 19 to 29, which is a window allowed by Fifa for international games. We are interested to play against the south and east Asia countries. Cambodia and Brunei are probable opponents. We are in discussions with these two countries. A final decision will be reached within two to three weeks. The national camp will begin prior to the friendlies. Regarding the camp, Kazi Nabil said, "The national camp will get underway by February or March. The Independence Cup will be held following the conclusion of the premier league."
