BFF: Mohammedan to clear coach Emeka’s dues this week

Despite two meetings in the space of a day, the BFF is yet to take any concrete decision on Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited's unprofessional approach towards a Fifa decision regarding Nigerian coach Emeka Ezeugo. Following the professional league committee meeting Thursday, the ninth executive committee meeting was held at BFF House in Dhaka Saturday where it was decided that the federation and Mohammedan would “co-ordinate with each other and try” to draw a conclusion to the Emeka payment issue within a week.

"Mohammedan told us that they would clear Emeka's due payment in three-four days. Then we will approach Fifa again to reconsider their decision of deducting three points of the club," said BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag to Dhaka Tribune after the meeting. Meanwhile, the meeting, presided by BFF boss Kazi Salahuddin, also decided to continue talks with Dubai-based company, titled Prime Sports and Entertainment for the sponsorship, TV and marketing rights of the national team’s home matches and the professional and domestic tournaments. The committee also allotted the sponsorship right of district football league to Saif Global Sports and provided Tk three lakhs to each DFA in three phases to organise the events.
