Sheikh Russel come back from two goals down

Update : 04 Dec 2016, 07:37 PM
Struggling Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra scripted a brilliant comeback in the second half to snatch a 2-2 draw against Brothers Union in the Bangladesh Premier League at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium on Sunday. In-form Haitian forward Augustin Walson put the Gopibagh outfit ahead in the 32nd minute before grabbing his second in the 59th minute with a powerful strike to put the mid-table club in the driving seat. Walson now has 12 league goals this season. Sheikh Russel, the former premier league winners, made an immediate response after falling two goals behind. Defender Mintu Sheikh converted a penalty in the 64th minute before Cameroonian forward Jean Jules Ikanga headed home a Nasir cross to net the equaliser in the 75th minute. Following a terrible first phase, Sheikh Russel are now unbeaten in their last six matches. However, the result didn't bring any changes of position in the 12-team points table as Brothers remained sixth with 23 points from 18 matches while Sheikh Russel are three points behind at eighth having played the same number of matches. Meanwhile, Rahmatganj MFS will be looking forward to return to winning ways when they take on Feni Soccer Club on Monday at the same venue.
