The host Bangladesh have won against Sri Lanka by huge 4-0 margin, making way through to the semifinal with one group match to spare, in the under-16 SAF Championship in Sylhet stadium on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka fell out of the tournament conceding nine goals in the two consecutive matches, with the first defeat against India by a margin marked by 5-0.
Bangladesh will play its last group match against India, set to be played on August 15.
Sarwar Nipu scored twice and Abedin Rakib and Atiquzzaman scored each of the rest two for Bangladesh in the match at Sylhet stadium that witnessed the gallery being full of an overwhelming crowd.
