Bangladesh Cricket Board is planning to send the national women’s team to Pakistan for a series, informed MA Awwal Chowdhury, chairman of the women’s wing committee, yesterday.
The Bangladesh women’s team is likely to tour Pakistan next month, said Awwal during the Dhaka Premier Division Women’s Cricket League opener at Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium.
“At the moment, we are not concerned over the security issue and we are planning to send the national women’s team to Pakistan next month,” said Awwal.
Since the brutal attack over the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore back in 2009, no Test-playing nation have toured Pakistan but the regulatory body of cricket in Bangladesh is planning to send its women’s team nonetheless.
