Update : 02 Apr 2015, 10:10 AM

All-rounder Shakib al Hasan is leaving Dhaka for India on Thursday afternoon to play Indian Primer League (IPL) scheduled to be started on April 8.

The left handed batsman will play on behalf of the Kolkata Knight Riders which bought Shakib in IPL auction.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Cricket Board issued Shakib the NOC (No Objection Certificate) to participate in the eighth season of the IPL.

A key player for IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders, Shakib, however, will not be able to play the entire season.

The left-arm all-rounder has only been granted leave till April 11.

The two of the three games he will be available for KKR are against Mumbai Indians on April 8 at Eden Gardens and against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 11 at the same venue.

The other one is the last league match on May 16 against Rajasthan Royals at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium.
