Martin Guptill's unbeaten 237, the highest World Cup scorer of all time and the second-highest in all ODIs, has ensured New Zealand's progression to the World Cup semi-finals for the seventh time.
New Zealand have made it to the semifinals of the ICC World Cup cricket, beating West Indies by 143 runs. West Indies scored 250 losing all wickets in 30.3 overs.
Trent Boult ripped out the West Indies claiming four wickets in the last quarterfinal of ICC Cricket World Cup.
He got the wickets of Johnson Charles, Lendl Simmons, Marlon Samuels and Denesh Ramdin leaving West Indies struggling in target of 394.
Boult has also become the highest wicket-taker surpassing Mitchell Starc‘s tally of 18 wickets in this world cup. He has claimed 19 wickets so far .
Southee picked up three wickets while Vettori two. Milne and Anderson claimed one wicket each.
Earlier, Kiwi opener Martin Guptill's double ton propeled New Zealand to a massive total of 393 runs against West Indies
He surpassed the record of Chris Gayle's 215 runs and became the highest run scorer in world cup knockout.
Guptill is also the first New Zealand batsman to make a double century in ODI cricket. He scored 237 runs off 163 balls.
The Kiwis scored 393/6 in 50 overs.
JE Taylor picked up three wickets while AD Russell claimed two. Ross Taylor was run out for 42 runs.
New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat against West Indies.
