AB de Villiers' brilliant century and a superb bowling effort guided South Africa to beat West Indies by a mammoth 257 runs in the World Cup Pool B match at Sydney Cricket Ground.
De Villiers clubbed the second-fastest World Cup century, scoring 162 off 66 balls, also the fastest 150 of all time.
Proteas amassed 408 for 5, before they skittled the Caribbean side for a paltry 151.
Imran Tahir starred with the ball for South Africa, taking career-best figures of 5 for 45, and Kyle Abbott and Morne Morkel bagged two wickets each.
South Africa set a 409-run target for West Indies to win the match, the second-highest World Cup total ever. In reply, West Indies crumbled to 151 all out.
South Africa skipper AB de Villiers, who scored the fabulous unbeaten 162, was declared man of the match.
"It's a very enjoyable day. Very good performance after a disappointing day at the MCG. I think our top three are natural ball players," de Villiers said.
