Australia cricket team arrive in Dhaka amid heavy security

The Australian cricket team set foot in Dhaka on Friday night amid heavy security, ahead of the two-match Test series against host Bangladesh, starting August 27 in Mirpur.

BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury informed that Steven Smith's men landed at 10:50pm.
"Since the team landed it was given the security as we've promised. We are confident everything will go according to our plan," he told AFP.
Police stated that around 300 members of police units were on toes as the Aussies landed at Hazrat Shahjahal International Airport.
"We've adequate security arrangements at the airport. We've even cleared the road (leading to the team's hotel)," Inspector Moslem Uddin of the Armed Police Battalion told AFP.
