The Bangladesh Cricket Board has decided to reduce punishment of ace all rounder Shakib Al Hasan considering the improvement of his approach and attitude, BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon said.
He made the announcement while addressing a press conference after a BCB meeting on Tuesday evening.
Shakib will be available from September 15 for the Asian Games and Zimbabwe tour in Bangladesh, Papon said.
BCB reduced his ban by three months, he said. However, other restrictions will remain enforced.
On July 6, the BCB had banned national cricket all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan for six months from all forms of cricket on charges of breaching rules.
The ban was imposed for the time till December 15.
Mashrafe Bin Mortaza will lead the Bangladesh cricket squad in the 17th Asian Games 2014, Papon announced.
In the press briefing, he also announced the appointment of Nizamuddin Sujon as CEO of BCB and Sarwar Imran as Head Coach in high performance unit.
He also announced election for the few vacant posts of vice president of BCB to be held on September.
