But the India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni shot back when asked about his resignation, saying he was strong enough and that everyone should just ‘wait and watch’ for his decision.
“I was asked the same question in 2011. Wait and watch, I am strong enough. And if I am not, you will get to know. The lowest point was 2011 because we had the resources then and yet we had failed,” said Dhoni.
