Bangladesh women lose by 36 runs

Bangladesh Ladies all out for just 79 runs from 17.3 overs chasing 116 against strong West Indies bowling attack at Sylhet Stadium on Wednesday in their first match of T20 world cup. 

West Indies leg spinner Shaquana Quintyne was ominous. She picked 3 wickets for just 5 runs from 3 overs. Smartt and Mohammed picked up 2 wickets each.

Rumana Ahmed scored 26 from 23 with 4 boundaries and Skipper Salma scored run a ball 17.

Earlier, Bangladesh women restrict West Indies side for 115 runs in stipulated 20 overs Dottin scored a run a ball 34 while king scored 20 from just 13 balls and Anisa Mohammad scored 15 from 14 deliveries.

Bangladeshi off spinner khadija Tul Kubra picked up 3 wickets while Fahima and Skipper Salma picked 2 each.

Bangladesh women are participating first time in the world T20 championship. West Indies women are regarded as one of the strongest teams in the circuit.
