Shahid Afridi manages to produce magic and clinches away a thriller of a match from the Indians at their Asia Cup encounter at Mirpur on Sunday.
Afridi, who came in to bat with a record of not being able to last 20 balls in his last 10 matches, struck two sixes in the final over to seal victory with two balls remaining.
Virat Kohli made a bold choice letting Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowl the 49th over. He was paid off with two wickets leaving Pakistan reeling with uncertainty.
Ashwin dismissed bowled a clueless Saeed Ajmal with his carom ball in the opening delivery of the final over before Junaid Khan managed a run and put Afridi on strike.
With nine runs needed from four remaining deliveries, Afridi struck two sixes and just managed to clear the ropes on both occasions to reel in the victory.
Mohammad Hafeez, who scored a brilliant 75 under pressure and took two wickets, was declared man of the match.
Pakistan made a good start to chase down a modest score of 245. But, Indian spinners managed to tighten their grip hauling four quick wickets.
Poised in a comfortable position, Pakistan lost way nearing the end-half of the match before Shahid Afridi pulled out a magnificent performance to ensure victory.
