Sangakara hits double ton, Mushfique 'injured'

Update : 05 Feb 2014, 05:06 AM

Bangladesh plucked two early wickets after the initial hour of play in the first session of the second Test match against Sri Lanka in Chittagong on Wednesday.

However, Kumar Sangakara was helping his team to mount an opening innings lead of beyond 400 runs striking a double century at Zahur Ahmed stadium.

Meanwhile, skipper Mushfiqur Rahmin was resting at the pavilion, presumably because of an injury, and Shamsur Rahman was keeping the wickets for the Tigers.

Nasir Hossain trapped Vithanage in front of the wicket and Shakib Al Hasan dismissed Perera in a similar fashion in the next over, making the crowd go wild.

Sri Lanka had ended the first day of the Test with 314 runs on the scoreboard losing five wickets.
