ULAB reach Super Eight

University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh cruised into the Super Eight of the ULAB Fair Play Cup Cricket by beating United International University by five wickets at the university’s sports ground at the Ramhchanrdapur, Mohammedpur yesterday.

Winning the toss, ULAB elected to field first and restricted UIU to 103/9 in the stipulated 20 overs. Imran of UIU played a superb knock of 52 off 36 balls and got 1 wicket. In reply, ULAB scored 104/5 in 16 overs. Imran of UIU was adjudged man-of-the-match.

In the second match of day, BRAC University beat Eastern University by 21 runs. Winning the toss, BRACU elected to bat first and scored 151 for 4 wickets in their 20 overs. Sakib of BRAC scored 48 runs from 50 balls and took 2 wickets. In reply,EUmanaged to score 130 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. Sakib of BRAC was named man-of-the-match.
