The penultimate round of the Dhaka Premier League’s Super League phase will be held across three venues today. Table toppers Gazi Tank Cricketers will lock horns with Mohammedan Sporting club at BKSP-2. It is a very crucial match for Gazi Tank as a win will take them a step closer to the silverware.
Tailing the toppers with a difference of just two points Prime Doleshwar will be eyeing nothing but a win when they face Kalabagan Cricket Academy at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah. Doleshwar are in song beating Mohammedan by seven wickets in their last match while Kalabagan also beat Prime Bank CC in a high scoring affair in their last match. However, the match will be of lesser importance in terms of Kalabagan’s perspective as they are placed fifth and are already out of championship race.
Meanwhile, led by national skipper Mushfiqur Rahim Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi will take on Prime Bank CC at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
Two consecutive wins in the Super League put Sheikh Jamal in the contention for the title, but a defeat to Gazi Tank in their previous encounter eventually ended all hopes for the Dhanmondi based club.
