West Indies captain Roston Chase has won the toss and elected to bat first in the second and final Test against Bangladesh today at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, as his side chased a series sweep.
The visiting West Indies side won the first Test in Dhaka by eight wickets, dominating Bangladesh in all aspects of the game.
The defeat came as a shock for Bangladesh, who want to make a giant stride toward the World Test Championship (WTC) final by winning the match.
However, in a bid to level the series, Bangladesh made two changes with Mushfiqur Rahim returning to the side after recovering from his finger injury, while pacer Taskin Ahmed also made his way to the squad.
They replaced Mominul Haque, out with a head injury sustained in the first Test and pacer Shoriful Islam.
Like the first Test, Bangladesh yet again came up with a three-pronged spin attack, which indicated another spin-favourable wicket.
West Indies also made two changes to confirm the series. Top-order batter Kevin Wickham made his debut and Joshua Da Silva returned to the side for two changes of West Indies, replacing John Campbell and Tagnarine Chanderpaul, who are both out with viral fever.
