Kiwis win toss, choose bat first

Visiting New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first in the first Test at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong, on a fine sunny Wednesday morning.

Two Tests and three One Day International matches to be played between Bangladesh and the visitors.

The newly-laid pitch is expected to be dry and favour slower bowlers but there is said to be a chance of rain interruption later in the afternoon.
