The Bangladesh Cricket Board began dispatching letters to the Clubs, District and Divisional Sports Associations asking for the names of the councilors for the upcoming Board election.
“We have started distributing the letter for the councillorship today (yesterday). Hopefully by tomorrow (today) it will reach the concerned authority,” informed BCB’s acting CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury to the media yesterday.
The BCB CEO also informed that the DSAs and the clubs have been asked to submit the names of the representatives by September 24.
“It will probably take another two weeks after we receive the name of the councilors to complete the other formalities in order to hold the election,” he said.
The letters are being sent through courier while others are disbursed through hand-to-hand and notes of the receivers are being kept by the BCB.
A three-member election commission has formed by NSC with director general of BKSP Brig Gen EmadulHaque as the cheif election commissioner.
