The Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, which marks the beginning of Bangladesh’s journey in the 2025–2027 ICC World Test Championship cycle.
The first Test will be played in Galle from June 17, while the second match is scheduled to commence in Colombo on June 25.
Top-order batter Nazmul Hossain Shanto has been retained as Bangladesh’s Test captain for another year, continuing in the leadership role he assumed in 2024.
All-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz also continues as the vice-captain, maintaining the leadership pairing that led the team in the previous season:
The Bangladesh team will depart for Sri Lanka on June 13.
