The Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced the squad for the first Test of the two-match series against Zimbabwe.
The first Test will begin at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on April 20, while the second match will commence on April 28 in Chittagong’s Bir Shrestha Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Stadium.
There is a maiden call-up to the Test squad for pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib.
The 22-year old has made 28 appearances in white-ball cricket for Bangladesh but is yet to feature in Tests.
Fast bowler Taskin Ahmed is a notable absentee from the last Test series Bangladesh had played.
BCB’s senior physician Dr. Debashis Chowdhury said: “Taskin is currently rehabilitating for a left Achilles tendon issue and is not available for the series.”
