Cambrian School and College’s Mostakim Hawlader hit an unbeaten 170-ball 404 to guide his team to a huge 738-run win in their National School Cricket match against Saint Gregory School at the Dhaka University ground Tuesday.
This is the highest individual score in recognized Bangladesh cricket history.
More than 80% of Mostakim’s runs came from boundaries as he hammered 50 fours and 22 sixes in Cambrian’s total of 770/2 in 50 overs.
He put on 699 runs for the unbroken third wicket stand with teammate Sowad Parvez, who scored 256 from just 124 deliveries, with 32 boundaries and 13 maximums.
In reply, St Gregory folded for just 32 with Cambrian’s Hasan Hridoy bagging six wickets and Parvez picking up four.
