The second and final Test match between Bangladesh and the West Indies at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica will not be a memorable one personally for Mominul Haque.
The 33-year old was out for nought in both the innings and registered the unenviable record of getting dismissed for the most ducks in Tests among Bangladesh batsmen.
The cricketer from Cox’s Bazar departed after facing six deliveries in the first innings having come out to bat at one drop, while he got out for a four-baller in his second trip to the crease at No 8.
Prior to the second Test, the diminutive left-handed batter was tied for 16 ducks with Mohammad Ashraful (119 innings), but now nudges ahead with 18 in 129 innings.
Next in the list comes tailenders Khaled Ahmed and Taijul Islam who have 13 each from 26 and 88 innings respectively, alongside experienced campaigner Mushfiqur Rahim (174 innings).
