The Bangladesh Cricket Board has condoled at the passing of News Editor of ATN News (Digital & New Media) and veteran sports journalist Aghore Mondal.
The 58-year old breathed his last in Dhaka Wednesday while undergoing treatment for multiple medical conditions.
The BCB recalled with gratitude his immense contribution for over three decades to the flourishment and growth of sports and cricket journalism in Bangladesh.
“Aghore Mondal had been an ever-present figure in cricket reporting and an eyewitness as Bangladesh cricket evolved. He played a most important role in evoking interest in the game and raising its popularity with his high-quality work first in print and then later in the electronic media. On behalf of the BCB, I extend my heartfelt sympathies to the family of Aghore Mondal,” said BCB president Faruk Ahmed in a note of condolence.
