National cricketers to meet Dr Yunus Thursday

Players, coaching staff, and BCB officials are scheduled to meet the chief of the interim government in the afternoon

Bangladesh national team cricketers are set to meet Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus at his office Thursday. 

Players, coaching staff, and Bangladesh Cricket Board officials are scheduled to meet the chief of the interim government in the afternoon.

This will be the cricketers’ first official meet with Dr Yunus since the latter took charge of the country in August following the fall of Sheikh Hasina-led government.

Dr Yunus first communicated with Bangladesh team cricketers following the Tigers’ historic Test series sweep in Pakistan earlier this month.

Bangladesh team in their next assignment are set to travel to India for two Tests that are part of the World Test Championship, followed by three Twenty20 Internationals.

The team will leave for India this Sunday with the first Test slated for Chennai from September 19.

The second Test will be held in Kanpur from September 27.

The three T20I matches will be played in Gwalior, Delhi and Hyderabad on October 6, 9 and 12 respectively.
