The national women’s cricket camp ahead of the South African tour began at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium yesterday. However, 10 of the cricketers and coach Oshadi Weerasinghe were absent on the opening day. The Tigresses are scheduled to travel to South Africa in September for a 16-day during which they will play three ODIs and three Twenty20 internationals against the host country. National skipper Salma Khatun said she was looking for good preparation at the camp. The last time Bangladesh faced South Africa was in Dhaka, where the home sided was defeated in a tightly contested ODI series.
