Bangladesh opener Liton Das has returned to Dhaka again Tuesday due to personal reasons, ahead of their last World Cup match against Australia, which will take place Saturday in Pune.

Liton came back to the Bangladesh capital for a short leave after the match against Pakistan on October 31 due to family reasons as he and his wife are expecting the birth of their first child.

Bangladesh team traveled to New Delhi on November 1 but Liton returned to Dhaka and joined the team two days later.

Bangladesh won against Sri Lanka Monday by three wickets in a high-tempered clash and now have a chance to finish as a top-eight team and qualify for the next Champions Trophy in 2025 in Pakistan.

Liton played against Sri Lanka Monday and scored 23 off 22.

Bangladesh team made their way to Pune from Delhi Tuesday morning but Liton was granted leave again and he came back to Dhaka to be with his family.

Liton is expected to be back in Pune to join with the squad before their final group stage game against Australia.

Earlier Shakib was also granted leave and returned to Dhaka to train personally with his mentor Nazmul Abedeen Fahim ahead of the Netherlands game, which drew a lot of criticism.

Shakib was adjudged man of the match for his all-round performance against Sri Lanka but was injured while batting and eventually ruled out of the Australia tie.

Top-order batsman Anamul Haque Bijoy has been named as his replacement.
