Update : 23 Jul 2013, 04:48 PM

National pacer Mashrafe bin Mortaza was named as one of the four stand-by players for Bangladesh ‘A’ team’s upcoming tour of England. A 15-member squad for the tour was announced by the Bangladesh Cricket Board Tuesday.

Mashrafe is still recovering from a heel injury that he suffered during Bangladesh Premier League-2 final in February.

Chief selector Akram Khan previously told the media of considering Mashrafe for the last three limited over matches in the tour as a match practice for the paceman. The second string national side comprises all familiar faces of the country’s cricket.

The team will depart on August 2. In the 23-day long tour they will play eight one-day matches. The first five matches will be against five different county sides. The tourists will face Hampshire in the first game on August 6 at Ageas Bowl. The second will be against Yorkshire at Headingley Carnegie on August 9. The third and the fourth game will be against Lancashire and Nottinghamshire. Bangladesh ‘A’ team will lock horns with Worcestershire in the fifth game at New Road on August 16.

The last three limited over games will be against England Lions on August 20, 22 and 24 respectively.
