Mustafizur sixth bowler to achieve 100 T20I wickets landmark

The left-arm paceman achieved the feat in his 81st T20I with a career economy rate of 7.55

Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman has become the sixth bowler to reach the 100-wicket landmark in Twenty20 internationals when he took the wicket of England's Dawid Malan during their third match in Mirpur Tuesday.

Bangladesh won the third T20I by 16 runs and Mustafizur finished the match with bowling figure of 4-0-14-1.

The left-arm paceman achieved the feat in his 81st T20I with a career economy rate of 7.55.

Mustafizur's best bowling figure in T20Is is 5/22.


He made his T20I debut back in 2015 against Pakistan and his first wicket was that of Shahid Afridi.

Mustafizur is the second Bangladeshi to take 100 wickets in T20Is after Shakib al Hasan.

Shakib has taken 131 wickets from 112 matches and is second in the list of highest T20I wicket takers after New Zealand's Tim Southee (134 wickets from 107 games).

Mustafizur is sixth in the list with Rashid Khan (126 wickets from 77 games), Ish Sodhi (114 wickets from 91 matches) and Lasith Malinga (107 wickets from 84 games) third, fourth and fifth respectively.
