Bangladesh Cricket Board and Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association, among many others, expressed deep sadness at the passing of architect Mubasshar Hussain.
A former director of the BCB, Mubasshar breathed his last Monday night in Dhaka. He was 79.
A freedom fighter, renowned architect and urban planner, Mubasshar was also an eminent sports organizer and a former president of Brothers Union.

BCB president Nazmul Hasan, MP, said, “He was a man of many qualities and passionately followed cricket. He always thought about cricket in Bangladesh and offered his valuable suggestions and advice for the betterment of the game.
“On behalf of the board, I extend profound condolences to the family of Mubasshar.”
