In the first game Soumya Sarkar and Nazmul Hossain Shanto opening pair put up a partnership of 43 runs.
And Thursday, against South Africa while chasing 206, Shanto-Soumya duo gave an impressive start.
Although the first wicket partnership lasted just two overs, both Soumya and Shanto showed good intent and middled the ball confidently.
Particularly Soumya's back-to-back sixers against Kagiso Rabada off the very first two deliveries he faced were stunning.
Both the deliveries were full and Soumya flicked those over midwicket for maximums, which were a treat to watch.
Even Shanto at the other end was connecting the ball well and looked impressive briefly.
But both the openers lost their wicket in the third over against South Africa pacer Anrich Nortje and that was disappointing too as Bangladesh made a good start with proper intent and attacking approach after so many matches but that lasted only 12 balls in the end.
