The 5th Women’s Club Cricket tournament will begin from June 30 with 12 clubs participating in the 22-day event, announced the Bangladesh Cricket Board yesterday. The 40-over per side games will be played in coloured dresses and white cricket ball. The final is scheduled on July 21. Traditional club in cricket, Abahani Limited, however, will not take part in the tournament as they claimed not to have sufficient time to prepare. Other big names like Mohammedan Sporting Club and Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, however, do not have any problem in preparing and they will be competing in the tournament.
