Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman Nurul Hasan and left-arm seamer Mrittunjoy Chowdhury will join Bangla Tigers icon and captain Shakib al Hasan following the T10 league players’ draft Monday.
Nurul was recruited from “C” category while Mrittunjoy was drafted from Emerging category.
Bangladesh cricketers Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed were also picked by Team Abu Dhabi and Deccan Gladiators respectively, but Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah and Afif Hossain went unsold.
The tournament’s sixth edition will begin on November 23 with the final slated for December 4.
Morrisville Samp Army and New York Strikers are two new additions to the upcoming edition alongside the six – Bangla Tigers, Chennai Braves, Deccan Gladiators, Delhi Bulls, Northern Warriors and Team Abu Dhabi - who played in the last instalment.
Besides Shakib the other icon players are Dasun Shanaka (Chennai Braves), Nicholas Pooran (Deccan Gladiators), Dwayne Bravo (Delhi Bulls), Kieron Pollard (New York Strikers), Wanindu Hasaranga (Northern Warriors), Chris Lynn (Team Abu Dhabi) and David Miller (Morrisville Samp Army).
