Bangladesh fast bowler Shoriful Islam has been named in the squad for the second and the final Test of the series against hosts West Indies.

Bangladesh Cricket Board [BCB] on Monday afternoon announced inclusion of the left-arm pacer and that he will leave for St Lucia on the same day to join the Bangladesh squad.

Bangladesh are behind in the two-match series 1-0 losing the first game of the series by seven wickets in Antigua on Sunday. Bangladesh will face Windies in the second Test starting on June 24 at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St Lucia. The two Tests are part of the ICC World Test Championship.

Shoriful was not made part of the Test squad initially given he was recovering from an injury.

Member of the ICC U19 World Cup 2020 champion team, Shoriful picked the injury on his right hand while batting in the first innings of the first Test against Sri Lanka in Chittagong in May. An X-ray later confirmed a fracture and put him out from action since.

Shoriful was initially supposed to join the team in West Indies on for the limited-over matches and travel from Dhaka on June 24.
