Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced the squad for the second and final Test against visiting Sri Lanka and the notable absentee was off spinner Mehedi Hasan Miraz.
Miraz fractured his finger while playing a match at Dhaka Premier League prior to the Test series and it was expected that he will be fit before the second Test.
But he was not able to recover fully and thus will be unable to feature in the Dhaka Test.
Bangladesh added Mosaddek Hossain just before the first Test and he is included in the second Test squad as well.
Just one player has been removed from the first Test squad as left-arm pacer Shariful Islam has been ruled out due to injury.
However, with already four pacers in the squad, no more pace bowler was selected to replace injured Shariful.
The first Test of the two-match series ended in a draw in Chittagong Thursday and the second Test will start from Monday at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Bangladesh squad for second Test:
Mominul Haque (Captain), Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Mushfiqur Rahim, Liton Das, Shakib al Hasan, Nayeem Hasan, Taijul Islam, Khaled Ahmed, Yasir Ali, Nurul Hasan, Mosaddek Hossain, Ebadat Hossain, Shahidul Islam, Rezaur Rahman Raja
