Prime Bank Cricket Club's Anamul Haque continued his purple patch in the ongoing Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League as he became the highest run-scorer of a single season, bettering Saif Hasan's List A record.
Anamul scored 73 runs Thursday against Legends of Rupganj at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan to take his tournament tally to 878, surpassing Saif's 814 for Prime Doleshwar Cricket Club in 2019.
Whereas Saif played 16 innings in that season, Anamul has taken four less innings to better the tally.
The right-handed Anamul has reached fifty nine times in 12 innings, including two centuries, and still yet to play in three more games to bolster his tally.
The premier 50-over tournament of the country was given List A status in 2013.
