Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan urged the International Cricket Council [ICC] to bring in neutral umpires back in bilateral series. Shakib took to his official twitter account after Bangladesh passed a frustrating day to on-field umpires’ decision on day four of ongoing Test against hosts South Africa in Durban on Sunday.
Shakib is not available for two-match Test series after he was granted leave to be with his family.
"I think it's time for ICC to back to neutral umpires as covid situation is ok in most cricket playing countries," tweeted Shakib on Sunday.

Bangladesh had an unsatisfying outing as they were often forced to challenge decisions of the umpires. The reversal of Kyle Verreynne's LBW off Mehedi Hasan Miraz in the second session of the day was the eighth occasion that the umpires' decision had to be overturned following a Bangladesh review.
Then there were many occasions when the umpires' decision stayed to the umpire's call rule and see close calls go against Bangladesh’s favour.
South Africa captain Dean Elgar scored 64 in the second innings but only riding rode on his luck. The left-handed batter got dismissed to an LBW against Taskin Ahmed but only after Bangladesh called for a review when South African umpire Marais Erasmus had turned down the initial appeal.
