The historic 2-1 series win against hosts South Africa has brought the first series win for the Tigers in the SENA countries.
Bowling first, Bangladesh restricted South Africa for just 154 runs ar SuperSport Park, Centurion.
Taskin Ahmed produced one of the fine spells of fast bowling in ODIs as he picked up five wickets conceding just 35 runs.
In reply, Bangladesh top order dominated the chase led by skipper Tamim Iqbal who was unbeaten on 87 off 82 deliveries while Liton Das scored 48.
Taskin’s five-wicket haul has an added significance as a pace bowler of an away team as the last time an away pacer took five-wicket haul in South African soil was 10 years ago.
Sri Lankan legend Lasith Malinga was the last pacer from the away team on that occasion.
Malinga took five wickets in January 2012 at Paarl conceding 54 runs.
