Mominul included in A team for third and final unofficial Test against Windies A

Visitors Windies A team are leading the 3-match series 1-0 with a 3-wicket victory in the 2nd game

Bangladesh A team have been strengthened for the third and final unofficial Test match against visitors West Indies A side with the addition of former Test captain Mominul Haque to the squad along with other prominent names of the national team.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board Saturday declared a 14-member squad for the third match, set to begin at Sylhet International Stadium Tuesday. 

Visitors Windies A team are leading the series 1-0 with a three-wicket victory in the second game.

The rain-marred first game finished in a draw.

Bangladesh A side also included Yasir Ali Chowdhury, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Nasum Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Mrittunjoy Chowdhury and Mushfik Hasan for the series decider.

Axe fell on players like Afif Hossain, who led the side in the first two matches, Shadman Islam, Mohammad Naim, Tanvir Islam, Rishad Hossain, Syed Khaled Ahmed and Ripon Mondal.

It is understood that the additions of Mominul, Yasir, Nurul and Shoriful were done after suggestions from Bangladesh national team head coach Chandika Hathurusingha.

It has been learnt that Hathurusingha is willing to observe these players before naming the Test squad for the one-off Test against Afghanistan, scheduled to be played in Dhaka in mid-June.
