Visitors England took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match One Day International series against Bangladesh after defeating the hosts by 132 runs in the one-sided second game in Mirpur Friday.

The Tigers were all out for 194 in 44.4 overs with left-arm seamer Sam Curran and leg-spinner Adil Rashid bagging four wickets each.

The 79-run fourth-wicket stand between captain Tamim Iqbal (35) and all-rounder Shakib al Hasan (58) only delayed the inevitable while Mahmudullah (32), Afif Hossain (23) and Taskin Ahmed (21) tried their best to shorten the margin of defeat.

The loss has turned Monday's third and final ODI in Chittagong into a mere formality as the tourists claimed their first series victory on Bangladesh soil since 2016.

Between this period Bangladesh had won seven ODI series in a row, but were once again helpless against formidable England, who had won 2-1 seven years ago.

England earlier posted 326 runs losing seven wickets in their stipulated 50 overs after being asked to bat first.

Opening batsman Jason Roy picked up his 12th ODI century, scoring 132 off 124 deliveries with 18 fours and one six before getting dismissed.

Skipper Jos Buttler made 76 while Moeen Ali scored 42 and Sam Curran 33 in the late stage of the innings to help England go past the 320-run mark.

Taskin took three wickets while Mehedi Hasan Miraz picked up two.
