Women’s nat’l league to resume on May 24

Update : 20 May 2013, 06:46 PM

The 6th Women’s National Cricket League is scheduled to resume in Sylhet from May 24 after Bangladesh Cricket Board was earlier forced to stop the tournament mid-way due to the political unrest in the country. The one-day competition will resume with two matches as table toppers Khulna taking on winless Barisal at Sylhet District Stadium while Dhaka will face Rangpur at the Sylhet Divisional Stadium. Hosts Sylhet will play Rajshahi at the latter venue on the next day.  Khulna won all the matches in the competition and is closely followed by Dhaka who won four out of five games. Rangpur are just a point behind Dhaka and sit third in the table. Rajshahi and Sylhet won two each in five matches while Barisal are yet to register a point in the competition.  Top four teams will advance to the semi-finals of the tournament before the final takes place on May 30 at the Sylhet Divisional Stadium.
